Nominees for the AFT Adjunct Faculty Award for excellence in academic instruction are requested.
We seek to recognize AFT Local 2373’s adjunct faculty members who demonstrate student centered teaching practices that promote student learning. The creation of this accolade is in line with other honors that recognize outstanding contributions to the university, such as the Gary J. Hunter, Joseph Barnes, and Frances S. Johnson awards. By building upon these awards’ ideals, this honor acknowledges the efforts of AFT Local 2373’s adjunct faculty members, making sure that their efforts do not go unappreciated.
Nominees must be Adjunct Faculty members who hold full AFT Membership. Adjunct faculty members are defined as individuals covered by the adjunct faculty unit contract and who are not employed by Rowan University in any other capacity. Each nomination must be submitted separately, either by the nominee themselves or by another individual nominating the member.
All nominations are due by noon Friday, February 23, 2024, via email to aft2373@gmail.com. Late submissions will not be accepted.
